Saturday and Sunday
June 13-14 2009
Sponsored by the Clay City Lions Club
The Clay City Pottery
Festival is an annual event that attracts thousands of people from all over the United
States. Clay City is a small rural community of about 1020 residents. At Pottery Festival
time the whole town is alive with activities. The activities are centered around the
pottery that is over 122 years old and still operated by the fourth generation of the founders of the
pottery. Other events of interest are a craft show and sale, flea market, antique cars and
farm equipment, area yard sales, and the annual quilt show organized by the Clay City
Calico Quilters. There are also many food stands all around town. Come and spend some time
in our small rural community and see what the Pottery is all about.
